Unlocking Cone Collector Potential

Two Key Strategies for Effective Cone Management

Strategy #1 – No need for the Carabiner

  • The first strategy is to store enough cones plus a few extra on the Cone Collector tool for the next two exercises. Choose the exercise with the highest number of cones and add approximately six cones. Having enough extra cones on the tool will allow it to remain upright and vertical.

  • The Cone Collector will remain near the coach in a fully extended mode during the exercises. Setting the tool away from the path of travel for safety during an exercise.

  • When an exercise ends, you’ll have enough cones available on the Cone Collector to start dropping for the next exercise right away. You’ll also pick- up the cones from the exercise and use them for the next exercise. This increases your efficiency in setting up the next exercise.

  • At a break between exercises, adjust the number of cones on the Cone Collector tool for the next two exercises.

At the end of the day, pickup all the cones and return the cones to the storage area, collapse the Cone Collector tool for transport and take it with you.

Strategy #2 – Using the Carabiner

  • The second strategy is to carry the Cone Collector on your person during an exercise and have enough cones doubled up on the current exercise for the next exercise. This alleviates having to carry the Cone Collector between coaching positions.

  • Ensure that you double up on cones close to your ending coaching position, to maximize efficiency in picking up and dropping cones for the next exercise.

  • The Cone Collector can be stored on your person in a pocket. Some cargo pants have deep pockets on the legs that can accommodate the tool.

  • You could also use the carabiner and attach the Cone Collector to a belt loop.

  • You could also use the carabiner and attach the Cone Collector to a bag which may store other coaching doodahs.

After the exercise completes, remove the tool from your person, extend it, and begin collecting and dropping the cones for the next exercise.

Caution:

Do not ride a motorcycle while the Cone Collector tool is on your person. Doing so may result in injury. This includes riding demos for the training exercises.
